Spring/Fall 2026
National Teachers are a welcome addition to the Carson Valley Quilt Guild each year. As part of the education of our quilters the guild reaches out to established national teachers who bring new techniques and tips to enhance our skills as artisans and quilters.
For the upcoming 2026 calendar year-
In March with Kelly Ashton, (https://kellyquilter.com) , we continue the format of a Zoom classes. Participants may Zoom from the comfort of their home or join a group at the United Methodist Church (Education Room). There will only be one workshop scheduled: the Saturday Class on March 21, will be all about set in ‘Y-seams’. Two different blocks will be taught, Tumbling Blocks and Inner City Block. The class registration cost is $40 due at time of registration; the required templates ($20) are available from Kelly at her ETSY shop, kellyquilterdesigns. Be sure to order templates so that they arrive in time for the Mar 21 class
In October, Rona Herrman, (https://ronatheribbiter.com), will be here in person teaching 2 workshops over the weekend. The Saturday class on October 16 will be a “techniques” class to improve our skills on ‘perfect points’, as well as cutting and blocks for circles and Y-seams. Something for everyone! The Sunday Class on October 17 is TBD. Registration will be $40, payable to the guild. Registration for the in-person class will begin at the June meeting.
