Community Quilts is the donations arm of the Carson Valley Quilt Guild. The Guild creates and donates quilts, pillowcases, receiving blankets, walker totes, reading pillows and other items to local organizations and shelters. The quilt sizes we typically donate range from small 36x36 in baby quilts to Twin size, which are approximately 60-70 x 80-90 inches.
We meet the 3rd Monday of every month (except December) at the Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, NV. from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, in the same room as the CVQ Guild meetings. During our workdays, we tie and bind quilts for donation and make quilt top project kits for members to take home and assemble, as well as other related tasks.
